Who We Support

AKO Inspired Living CIC works in partnership with organisations that share our commitment to clear boundaries, ethical practice and sustainable community benefit.


We collaborate with local authorities, agencies, support providers, housing partners, investors and funders to deliver unregulated, housing-led and community-based services that prevent crisis and promote independence.

Young People and Adults at Risk of Homelessness

  • Are at risk of homelessness or housing instability
  • Are living in temporary, emergency or pathway accommodation
  • Require stabilisation and move-on support
  • Need outreach and engagement to remain connected to services
  • Benefit from housing-led prevention approaches

Vulnerable Adults (Aged 18+)

We support adults who:

  • Experience vulnerability due to social, economic or environmental factors
  • Require advocacy, guidance or practical support
  • Are isolated or disengaged from services
  • Need support to sustain accommodation and routines
  • Do not require regulated personal or clinical care

People With Mental Health Needs

People With Mental Health Needs

  • Experience mild to moderate mental health needs
  • Are in recovery or stabilisation phases
  • Benefit from structure, routine and community engagement
  • Require advocacy and practical support rather than clinical intervention
  • Do not require regulated personal or clinical care

AKO does not provide therapy, counselling or clinical treatment.

People With Learning Disabilities

(Non-Regulated Support Only)

We support individuals who:

  • Have learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Can live independently with appropriate, non-regulated support
  • Benefit from routine-building, structure and community access
  • Are supported alongside specialist or statutory services where required

Support is enabling and person-centred, not care-led.

Individuals Requiring Outreach and Engagement

We support people who:

  • Are hard to reach or disengaged
  • Can live independently with appropriate, non-regulated support
  • Benefit from routine-building, structure and community access
  • Are supported alongside specialist or statutory services where required

Individuals Experiencing Isolation or Social Exclusion

We support people who:

  • Are hard to reach or disengaged
  • Can live independently with appropriate, non-regulated support
  • Benefit from routine-building, structure and community access
  • Are supported alongside specialist or statutory services where required

How We Decide Who We Can Support

After donating, payment confirmation can be sent to:

AKO accepts referrals where:

  • Needs fall within unregulated scope
  • Risks can be managed through community-based support
  • Funding or commissioning arrangements are in place
  • Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined

All referrals are screened for suitability to ensure safety, clarity and effectiveness.

Who We Do Not
Support

To maintain regulatory clarity and safeguard individuals, AKO does not support people who require:

Where needs exceed our scope, we signpost or escalate to appropriate services.

  • Regulated personal or intimate care
  • Medication administration or clinical oversight
  • Nursing, therapeutic or psychiatric intervention
  • Secure or restrictive placements
  • CQC- or Ofsted-regulated provision
